In 1927 the mother school of Railway Girls' High School, NJP started by Chief Controlling Officer Mr. Pol Whell of Bengal-Duars Railway at Domohani . Then Domohani was the Head Quarter of Bengal Duars Railway . Pol Whell School/Domohani waws the 1 st School of Duars Bengal Railway . The school get affiliation in 1949. After Indian Railway formed Domohani lost its glamour slowly. In 1968, because of a huge flood Domohani's existence got into a big trouble. In 1980 it parted by two section, boys and girls. Boys section was shifted to Alipurduar Junction and Girls section was shifted to NJP. Now the Pol Whell School/Domohani is under the control of Bengal Government.
